Christmas Parties and Handmade Singles
It’s getting to that point in the year when everyone stops going to gigs and starts going to Christmas parties so we’ve decided that we’re going to throw a couple of Christmas Parties of our own in December and to top it off, we’ve been making some handmade limited edition single packs for any collectors out there that want something a bit special to celebrate the new year and the release of our Apples and Pears single.
We’ve just got back from playing 12 dates in Europe, many of which were spent with 65daysofstatic and Tall Ships and we had a lot of fun.
Apples and Pears Limited Edition Singles
Over a period of many painstaking hours, we have proudly assembled 100 limited edition handmade booklets for our single release of Apples and Pears. You can download the music from Boomkat by clicking here. In addition to the title track we have remixes from Fin Greenall aka Fink of Ninja Tune fame who remixes A42 under his dub moniker of Sideshow as well as two Apples & Pears remixes from Leeds minimal electronic duo worriedaboutsatan and upcoming producer Ambeson. You can purchase one of the limited edition booklets at one of our live shows or by visiting our online webshop at Big Cartel. It’s an eight page booklet containing individually hand printed fruit stamps, original tour artwork and an individual photographic still taken from the Apples and Pears teaser video.

Final Tour Preparations
So we’re only days away from our trip to Japan. This weekend involved the final preparations of buying new suitcases and building light weight desks to put our gear on. We both felt like DIY Dads, a doomed trip to Travis Perkins led us to a lovely DIY store on Bethnal Green Road where we decided it would be easier to butcher a wallpaper table than build something from scratch. Now we just need to find some felt to cover the surfaces, plush.
It’s all getting very exciting, we have our friend Seb coming along to Japan with us, he will be documenting the trip with his superb photography skills. There will be a day to day log of sorts up on this site, plus we have activated the Nedry Twitter for lovers of that.
Massive thanks again to Huw Stephens for playing Scattered for a second time on his prime time show, you can check that out on the BBC IPlayer (here). Lovely stuff.
The beautiful town of Nysa, Poland… claims to have the steepest roof for any Catholic Church in Europe, it is ridculously steep too. It was also bombed during the Second World War and rebuilt (only the outside was rebuilt so its a huge hangar space).
Please check out to discover the home page image with a glorious beach and forest overlooking a huge lake… it looks like the med! Its not… dont be fooled. They do however have a host of festivals that cost a mere couple of quid and the vodka is in abundance.
Probably Nysa’s best export – the Nysa Van… a vehicle so proudly made in Nysa, it was called after it…. out of production, but a dream to look at. Eat your heart out VW Camper.
